Scienamite is an inter school science competition which is hosted by the Science Department of G.D.Goenka World School, Sohna, Gurgaon.
This year it was organised online on Google meet during the COVID-19 pandemic on August 18th 2021. The event began with an opening ceremony at 10 am with Director –Principal’s welcome note and address and introduction about the judges. More than 32 schools from all over India, having national and international curriculum participated in the event this year. Most of the reputed and top most schools from Delhi and NCR also participated this year. There was an E-poster making and presentation competition for students of grades 6 to 8, an online quiz competition for students of grades 9 &10 and research paper presentation competition for students of grades 11 & 12. The event was judged by seven experts from reputed government and private industry based organisations.
The event ended with a closing ceremony at 2:30 pm with the announcement of winners by the Director –Principal , Dr. Neeta Bali and vote of thanks by chair of Department –Science, Ms. Sonia Kochhar. Our students scored First position for e-poster making and presentation competition for Grade 6 & 7 and First position for online quiz.
The event was a huge success, was well organised and appreciated by everyone.
