Scientists speak with young Goenkans.
“If we set a frog in boiling water, it would jump out immediately. But if we set the frog in normal water and heat the water slowly the frog would remain in the water without realizing and eventually would die”, Scientist spoke about global warming in this context. Planet earth is experiencing diverse climate change for which we are responsible.
Senior Scientists from Ministry of Science and Technology and Centre for Ocean and Environmental studies Govt. of India, Dr. (Mrs )Malti Goel and Dr. Kishore Kumar were invited to school to conduct an interactive session with young Goenkans on issues like Climate change ,Global Warming, Value of coastal lands and a film on Antarctica Expedition which was led by Dr S. Z. Qasim, the first Indian on this expedition. The presentations by the experts were highly relevant to the curriculum being taught at IGCSE and IBDP levels and students who participated with great enthusiasm and spirit.
