On the 17th of October 2014, inspired by the swach bharat abhiyan carried out by our prime minister, our young and vivacious goenkans cleaned up on the goenkan aisle as well!
The middle years programme children carried this initiative out in the school premises with utmost dedication and enthusiasm. About 95 excited young minds came together to personally get up and clean the school. The activity was more than an activity , it was a movement and it was an idea. The idea that was understood after the task had been carried out. The sight of a clean and beautiful school after the clean drive, helped students and other goenkans that to be something to be beautiful the initiative has to be taken by us.
The first step is the hardest, the rest of the journey is all bliss. The students managed to sterile the foot ball field, basket ball court and the dispersal area all in 1 hours time. The extreme dedication and tireless efforts of these bright children has just proved further their international mindedness and become global
citizens.
