We are happy to that the, ‘The Mentor-Mentee programme” for GDGWS Boarding students, started off afresh on October 30, 2017 with the first meeting of the Boarding staff (Academics, and Dorm parents) with Director-Principal, Heads of programmes and designated mentors. The aim is to share with parents the academic mentoring for their wards and the steps taken by mentors to assist students with difficult subjects, note-books & books, academic performance, and remediation.
To strengthen the mentor-mentee bond, the academic tutorial is held every Thursday 6.30 pm- 8.30 pm, to share the mentees progress, and any update mentee wants to share. The mentors, and dorm parents are working hard towards improving the result of our boarders, by giving one on one attention to grade 10 & 12 boarders who will appear for their IGCSE exam in March and June 2018 and IB exam in May 2018.
The mentors discuss with the mentees past paper questions, and help them solve them during the evening prep. remediation/extra class.A follow-up meeting with mentors, is held every fortnight with Director-Principal, DHM, and HOPS. If needed with mentees, and dorm parents, are also attending the meetings. We all need to take up the challenge, and walk an extra mile for our students’ better results, and future. Should you have any concerns, please drop us a mail and we will be happy to assist !
