International Women’s Day 2014
Theme: INSPIRING CHANGE
Women’s equality has made positive gains but the world is still unequal. International Women’s Day celebrates the social, political and economic achievements of women while focusing world attention on areas requiring further action.
The Goenkan IAYP participants and the school IAYP Coordinator organized THE WALK FOR WOMEN –WALKATHON on the 7th March 2014. The head of the school, Dr. Neeta Bali signed the SCHOOLS AGAINST SEXISM PLEDGE AND WALKED THE INAUGRAL ROUND. She was accompanied by the Vice Sports Captain, Vice Cultural Secretary and the Vice CAS Secretary.
The walk was open to all students and teachers throughout the day. All participants were asked to commit to this cause by taking action in 2 areas:
