With the increasing globalization and internationalization happening everywhere, it is vital for students to expand their worldview, to be taken out of their comfort zone and get an opportunity to appreciate other cultures. “As an institute we don’t just have a responsibility of teaching our students various subjects. We also have a duty in making students independent, mature citizens of this world. Taking them to international destinations offers them a chance to learn about other societies and value other cultures”, said Dr.Neeta Bali Director Principal G D Goenka World School.

The students of Grade 6 to 12 of this school explored USA & Europe recently.USA trip enlightened students about the tremendous developments that have been achieved in the field of outer space science and technology. Students visited various pavilions at NASA, “The Shuttle Launch Simulator”, “Exploration space”, “Apollo/Saturn V Center” are a few of them. Visits to Cocoa beach, Universal Studios, Sea World and Disney Magic in Orlando and then to New York City was full of fun. Students also went around Manhattan and Brooklyn and visited Freedom Tower- Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island, Times Square, Madam Tussauds, Niagara Falls and also enjoyed live shows at Kennedy Space Centre. While the other group of students was busy in exploring Europe. Whether it was climbing the Eiffel tower in Paris or Disney Land or visiting Human Rights at Red Cross Museum in GENEVA (SWITZERLAND) or Chocolate making at Maison Cailler students were high on spirits. Visit to Mt. Titlis at ENGELBERG (SWITZERLAND) was out of the world experience. Snow activities attracted the student’s more. Adding to fun Exploration of Vatican City in ROME (ITALY) or IED University visit and interaction with students studying there was altogether a different Experience. Exciting and Educative these experiences are indelibly etched on the minds of students.
