A University Fair was organized by GDGWS on Wednesday, 18th April, 2018 for students of Grade XII with an aim to educate them about diverse opportunities for their further education in India as well as abroad.
Our Director-Principal, Dr. Neeta Bali, officially inaugurated the fair, where subsequently, the students were able to meet and interact with 19 delegates from renowned universities, who participated and promoted their education mission at the fair. The nature of this workshop is critical for all students who are in their early stage of the search process.
The event offered all attendees’ unique prospects to intermingle one-on-one with the representatives about the programs and get an idea with regards to several queries on Admissions, Application Deadlines, Total Annual Cost, Eligibility, Application Requirements for Major, Honors Program, Internship and Final Placements and many more.
“Before the university fair , I didn’t know about the visa and on campus jobs but after I was well versed in the knowledge about them. In the end , the university fair was a worth while experience and helped me a lot to fill my gaps”, quoted Darsh Jain-Grade XII student
Another Grade XII Student, Diwaker Gupta-Grade mentioned, “The opportunity to interact with different universities and learn about their admission requirements, courses offered and how education in universities is handled was invaluable for us students”.
The Universities also distributed brochures to the interested pupils, thereby exchanging their contact details for further information as required respectively. This was an open and interactive workshop to enable all students understand and accumulate relevant information in detail.
The event was conducted successfully allowing ample opportunities to the pupils to fructify their dreams and aspirations, helping them choose the right and desired career path for their educational journey ahead.
Lavanya Anand and Freya Gupta, students of Grade XII discussed how this session was immensely helpful for people like us who are completely indecisive about what we want to pursue. They also spoke about liking this concept of this university fair because all the universities were easily accessible and it was a wonderful and insightful experience.
