As part of Transdisciplinary theme “Sharing the Planet” students of grade 4 went for an educational excursion on 22nd Aug, 2019 to the Delhi Zoo to see the ecosystem of the different animals which helped them understand their natural habitat. They could relate to the biotic and abiotic factors make their ecosystem. The sight of white swans swimming on the smooth surface of clean water and felcons taking flight above the pond was a wonderful delight. They were delighted to see different animals about which they had been reading in books until now. They were pleased to watch a baby elephant taking bath in the small pond. The students got over excited to see the white tiger and Royal Bengal tiger basking under the sun. Other animals that they got to see were rhinos, hippos, monkeys, jaguar, leopard, lion etc.Overall, it was a wonderful learning experience for the students.
