On Friday, 3rd November 2017, students from grade 9 to 11 attended an educational workshop on “Substance Abuse” which was conducted by Dr. Shubhank Singh, Project Lead – Public Health Initiatives of Medanta the Medicity. Dr. Shubhank Singh is involved with various preventive and promotive programmes based on Dengue prevention and hand hygiene where he has trained more than 80,000 students in Delhi NCR region.
During the workshop, Dr. Shubhank Singh spokeon Substance abuse disorders – a big threat to the young generation. He showed videos on three main threats to the young generation- Smoking, Alcoholism and Drugs. It was a very interactive workshop, where students asked questions around these subjects.
The workshop was successful in providing resources and practical information that will help students live a healthy life, free of substance abuse.
