Our Cambridge International AS & A Levels Syllabus

 

Cambridge International Advanced Levels are one of the most highly respected qualifications around the world. They are accepted and highly valued for entry into universities, institutions of higher education around the world and in the Indian sub-continent. It brings success to the students through skill-based teaching-learning approach and develops skills of presenting reasoned explanations, understanding implications and communicating them clearly.

Cambridge International Advanced Level syllabus is studied by the students under two parts.

The Cambridge International AS Level syllabus, which is half of the syllabus of A Levels, is covered in Grade XI, and the Cambridge International A Level syllabus is covered in Grade XII.

The External Assessment for Cambridge International Advanced Subsidiary level (AS Level) is taken at the end of Grade (XI) and the Cambridge International Advanced level (GCE ‘A’ Level) is taken at the end of Grade (XII).

Please Note:

  • Select one subject from each band.
  • ENGLISH GENERAL PAPER is offered at AS Level only and is mandatory
  • Students are advised to take three A Level subjects and one AS Level subject.

Certification

  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) – One Certificate is awarded for all levels of the GCE.
  • GCE Advanced Level – grades A*(a*), A(a), B(b), C(c), D(d), or E(e) indicate a pass at Advanced Level, grade A*(a*) being the highest and grade E(e) the lowest.
  • GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level – grades a(a), b(b), c(c), d(d), or e(e) indicate the standard reached, grade a (a) being the highest and grade e (e) the lowest.
  • GCE Ordinary Level – grades A*(a*), A(a), B(b), C(c), D(d), or E(e) indicate the standard reached, grade A*(a*) being the highest and grade E(e) the lowest.
