Students of Grade 3 went on an excursion to experience the nature closely. On 04th May, 2018, the students visited a Farm, as a part of their ongoing inquiry under the TD theme ‘Sharing the Planet’.
They were taught various steps in making the Compost. Further, they also visited a compost pit and gained a first-hand experience about the ways to manage waste effectively. They were subsequently informed about the steps to make manure as well.
The exercise provided students with an experience outside their everyday activities. The field trip helped the students to achieve a higher level of critical thinking when they evaluated their own learning compared with what they got exposed to.
