The annual graduation ceremony is a day devoted to celebrating an important point in students’ lives. This academic year is finally over; parents admire their children for reaching the finishing line of a long marathon. Most of all, it is a time of unrestrained optimism. The graduation ceremony for the batch of 2021 was held virtually on Saturday, 22nd May 2021.
The Ceremony
A Graduation is not merely a get-together, but a reminiscence of memories of bond with the school and a warm-hearted goodbye. The ceremony started with a welcome address for esteemed dignitaries, parents, students and faculty members. This was further followed by pledging honour to our school and country by singing prayers of prominent religions by our IBDP students. Our respected Vice-Chairperson, Mrs. Renu Goenka shared her blessings for the students and the release of the Yearbook-2021.
The function proceeded with sharing some pearls of wisdom by Director-Principal, Dr. Neeta Bali, who congratulated the grandaunts many of whom have already secured a place in leading National and International universities, she stated that the school will always remember and welcome the students years after they have graduated.
Dr. Manisha Mehta-Head of IBDP shared her views on gateways/avenues open to access new careers, India becoming a superpower of careers, with crisscrossed career paths. This was followed by awarding online certificate distribution for Sections C and D.
A solo piano performance by our student Ahra Jo added so much more meaning to the sentiment of the ceremony. This was followed by awarding online certificate distribution for Section E.
In addition to the conferring of the degrees and individual recognition of each graduating student, the teachers Ms. Naina, Ms. Minakshi and Ms. Savita took the stage to speak about shared memories and an ongoing connection to the school.
Dr. Neeta Bali, Director-Principal made the announcement of Valedictorian and Best IB Boy and girl which was followed by the Valedictorian Speech.
The Chief Guest for this event, Mr. Nithya Shanti, a highly acclaimed internationally respected spiritual teacher, seminar leader, writer and educator committed to sharing practical wisdom teachings for happiness and enlightenment with people in a joyful and transformational way. He shared his motivational and inspirational thoughts and teachings with the grandaunds for their future lives and decision-making.
Just to make Graduation day-2021 more memorable, a dedicated video capturing the moments spent by Grade-12 students during their tenure in school was played. Students cherished the moments through this soul-stirring video.
